Paintball pictures

The following are pictures of the warriors involved in the paintball outing of July 30.  A good time was had by all.

For he to-day that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother
To protect the innocent, some faces have been removed.  The rest are nuclear workers.

It was hot that day and many schemes were afoot.
It was a good day for paintball.  Maybe a little hot, but nonetheless a good day.

Core Skills - Engineering Career Paths within Progress Energy

Job transfer or hat juggling skills may not translate into actual juggling skills

For those of you that are interested in where your career can go within NGG, come to this Q&A session and have a chance to speak with engineers that have branched out into Operations, Maintenance, Project Management, and management positions.   If you were unsure of how to go diversify your experience by moving within the company to other positions, this would be a great opportunity to hear from people that have done it and have advice to offer.   Human Resources will be there as well to give us their perspective and some of the insight they have from their interactions with hiring managers.

This event was originally planed for June 23, but has been rescheduled due to unavailablility of several panel members.  The event will be rescheduled when a new date can be arranged.  Sorry for the inconvenience to anyone already signed up.

Core Skills - Central Receiving and Dedication Facility

An unexplored box... is there anything more intriguing

The Central Receiving and Dedication Facility (CRDF) is a corporate nuclear facility located at Harris NP.  The facility offers services as NGG’s fleet procurement engineering department and features mechanical and electrical labs for commercial grade item dedication, as well as the Electronics Service Center.  The CRDF offers commercial grade item dedications, equivalency evaluations, material / component testing, electronic repair and refurbishment, and other services.  The NGG Core Skills Session will present these functions, as well as offer a tour of the mechanical and electrical labs and the Electronics Service Center.

The class will be at the Central Receiving and Dedication Facility (CRDF) at Harris on July 14 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.  Sign up at Admit One (works only from Progress computers).
